The robots that swarm over the platform come in waves and can vary in design, with some of them flying all around your field of view while others appear to fly straight at you from a specific direction. To help you out, there are a variety of power-ups that can activate when you destroy enemies and a Volton, which is essentially a giant shield that you can use to deflect incoming fire or power up nearby turrets.

Depending on your skill and how long you can last, you’ll unlock various unlockables, from weapon skins to an extra environment. However, you’ll need to ace a few achievements (like defeating the Mother droid or beating Wave 23 for over a minute without firing your weapon or using the shield) to get them.

Space Explorers: The ISS Experience

Despite its immense size, the International Space Station is a relatively intimate place for the crew to work. To help people better understand life on this remarkable outpost, Felix & Paul Studios has captured footage of the station using a special Space VR Games camera that works in microgravity. The result is an epic four-part immersive series dubbed Space Explorers: The ISS Experience. Episode one, entitled Adapt, is now streaming in VR on the Oculus Quest and Quest 2.

Viewers will be transported to the rarefied air of the ISS interior. ESA Astronaut Thomas Pesquet and JAXA Astronaut Akihiko Hoshide took the camera attached to the Canadarm2 robotic arm outside the space station to install a support bracket for a new set of solar arrays. It was a historic moment that brought the public closer to the realities of spaceflight than ever before.

The ISS Experience will soon feature two additional episodes that will take viewers outside the station. In addition to bringing the viewer closer to the action, these episodes will explore humanity’s connection to Earth and its role in the bigger universe. They will also offer a visceral sense of the beauty, fragility and profound unity that watching our planet from the perspective of the ISS evokes.

Those who aren’t lucky enough to have access to a VR headset will be able to enjoy the show on a flat screen, too. In fact, the ISS Experience is partnering with a number of space centers around the country to present 2D versions of the show on a regular basis.
